Christmas 2012

Anderson Christmas Party.
Our numbers have grown making it necessary
to hold our parties at a larger place.
Many thanks to the Blackham Family for
sharing this beautiful facility with us.

Most family members were there.
We definately missed the 4 who were
unable to make it.

Heidi got a real white silver elephant.

Annie got a mini ipad.  She was excited

Matson received a jewelry box  but thought his dad's box
of old cell phones looked much better.

Jake looks stunning in his new Christmas bonnet.

On Christmas Eve, the Bartholomew Clan came
for waffles.  There was a variety, pumpkin, whole wheat,
and gingerbread waffles. Fruit and syrup topped them off.

Of course, a Bartholomew get together is not
complete without games.

Jack was not too interested in the games, but thought
the doll house looked fun.  Mike was a good sport
and helped him get it set up.

Sunday afternoon and all the boys are home.  This doesn't
happen very often any more.  Had to get a picture.

Christmas Eve and new pj's.

After Santa's arrival and before everyone got up.
We were late getting up because we played
games until 1:30 a.m.

With everyone home, we took the opportunity to get
a family picture.  It could be two years+ before
everyone is together again.

This was my Christmas surprise and I was thrilled.
Earlier in the month I decided I wanteed to have each of the kids
share with me their memories of  2012.
I ask them on Christmas Eve.  They wondered if it
was okay to just share pictures.  I told them whatever they
wanted to do was fine with me.  I wanted to start a
Bartholomew Memory Book.
I was surprised on Christmas morning when they presented us
with the photo book that they had worked on together.
It contains highlights of the year in picture and quotes.

I will treasure this for a long long time.
They asked if they still needed to write the memory.  I told
them this was far better than what I thought I wanted and if they
wanted, they could do this every year.

Our Christmas was wonderful.  Everyone was able to come home.
It is anticipated that Michael will leave on a mission in the spring of 2013,
so it may be a while before everyone is together at Christmas.

2012  was a wonderful year for our family.
We are blessed.
